Mission

The mission of the North Dakota Humanities Council (NDHC) is to provide opportunities for North Dakotans to appreciate and understand the power of the humanities to explore ideas, values, culture, and heritage that help enrich their lives.

Vision

The North Dakota Humanities Council will be the catalyst for North Dakotans to experience the pleasure and transformative power of the humanities through engaging programs that explore the ideas, values, and history of what shapes and connects us and others.  The open spaces of North Dakota will mirror the open minds of its people who have been inspired and influenced by their experiences with the humanities.
